Retail Customer Service AssociateSparrow Company is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Retail Customer Service Associate to join a wholesale grocery store in El Paso, TX. This position is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, assisting customers with merchandise questions, and maintaining clean, organized, and properly stocked merchandise displays. The ideal candidate will have previous retail experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities and Duties:Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer questions, concerns, and issues with courtesy and professionalismAssist customers with questions regarding merchandise, products, pricing, and servicesProvide accurate information about merchandise and servicesMaintain merchandise displays to create a fresh, organized, and inviting atmosphereEnsure merchandise is properly displayed and identified based on whether it is sold by the individual item or packageEnsure correct signs and pricing are displayed for merchandiseMaintain proper rotation of merchandiseRemove damaged merchandise from the sales floor and place it in the designated areaReturn misplaced merchandise to its assigned locationMaintain clean, organized, and safe sales floor areasAddress customer concerns with a solution-focused approach and refer unresolved issues to supervisors or managers as neededReceive training and provide backup cashier support when neededWork cooperatively with team members and management to support daily store operationsPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum six (6) months of related retail work experienceExcellent customer service, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgroundsBilingual English/Spanish preferredAbility to adapt to changing priorities and work assignments with a positive attitudeAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDependable, flexible, and willing to assist with various store operationsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods, with occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working at elevated heightsAbility to lift, push, and carry items weighing less than 25 pounds and up to 80 poundsAbility to work around moving mechanical equipment and in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold temperaturesAbility to follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environmentApplicants may be subject to a background check.*A pre-employment screening may be required as a condition of employment.*A conviction does not automatically disqualify you from employment.
