PLC Technician - Nights

Title: PLC Technician
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana 
Hourly Pay : $30-40/hr + shift differential
Requirements : Troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, Servo Motors and Drives

FULL TIME - 2nd shift  - 3:00pm - 11:30pm

 

We  are looking for a PLC technician to support and strengthen our maintenance organization. As our operations continue to expand, we are investing in technical leadership to improve equipment reliability, enhance maintenance processes, and support a wide range of production systems that must meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You are responsible for selecting, installing, programming, documenting, and maintaining all plant instrumentation and automated devices.

 

What You Will Be Doing

• Track production variables, downtime, samples, and blend accuracy.
• Document recipe time and temperature points to meet quality standards.
• Support performance systems and coordinate with external service providers.
• Review and verify control work completed by Maintenance Technicians.
• Train team members on new or updated process and utility control systems.
• Ensure contractors deliver complete PLC documentation and proper training.

What You Need for This Position

• AAS Degree + 2 years of experience with pressure controls, control circuits, programmable controllers, drive units, variable frequency drives, scales, monitoring systems, sensors, and security systems in an industrial environment.
• Servo motor and drive experience.
• Vision system experience.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Allen Bradley HMI troubleshooting experience.
• AutoCAD experience.
