Cardiothoracic Surgeon OpportunityThe Physician provides direct clinical treatment services to patients, ensuring that patients receive the treatment necessary to treat their medical complaint. The Physician works constructively and collaboratively with other health professionals and focuses on attaining high standards of healthcare within their specialty. Duties may include patient care, instructing, monitoring, and advising other health care professionals, as appropriate.Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join the region's most respected heart surgeon at Cape Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery.Join the Saint Francis family where we are better together and where people come first!Benefits:Guaranteed Base Salary with On-Call PayStudent Loan Repayment Available!Signing Bonus or a Monthly Stipend option for ResidentsRelocation AllowancePaid Malpractice with Tail CoverageRequirements:BC Surgery certification; BE/BC Thoracic Surgery certificationMissouri Physician license or ability to obtain a license upon credentialingActive Missouri DEA and BNDD registration or ability to obtain upon credentialingMedical license in the State Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS.Responsibilities:Join a dynamic group of 2 CT Surgeons, 2 Vascular Surgeons, and 3 APPs (1 CT APP, 2 Vascular APPs)Work schedule: M-F 8:00am – 4:30pm outpatient clinicClinic days for CT Surgery are currently WednesdaysAverage patients seen in clinic is 15-20 per clinic dayCT Surgery PA also sees her own patients in clinicCall is 1:2 currently, rotate weekends and holidays (would be 1:3)Average number of patients in procedures per day: 3-4Average census of inpatients: 7-10 with a max range of 15CT APP rounds on patients, as wellTwo Dedicated Heart ORs with dedicated CVOR Team and with DaVinci RobotsCardiac ICU, Progressive Step-Down Inpatient unit, and Outpatient Cardiac Rehab availableCVS service line volume increases from FY23 to FY24 was 13% and it's projected to increase for this fiscal year.Cape Girardeau and Surrounding Metropolitan Area:When it comes to selecting a location to live and work, the medically sophisticated environment of Saint Francis Healthcare System is only part of the equation.
