Advanced Practice Clinician - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Planned Parenthood Great Plains is seeking a full‑time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work at our Health Center in Columbia, MO. The NP/PA will serve as the primary provider of medical services and provide direct care to patients seeking family planning, gender‑affirming care, and primary care. Providers will assess clinical needs, order, interpret, and record results of clinical tests, prescribe medications, and make treatment recommendations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Fully committed to Planned Parenthood’s mission to support the rights of individuals regarding family planning and reproductive health care. Provides quality health care services including exams, diagnosis, treatment, education and counseling for clients in accordance with PPGP protocols and our Medical Standards & Guidelines. Serves as a medical resource for other licensed and non‑licensed staff, and provides leadership in all aspects of comprehensive clinical services. Secures a complete health history, records findings accurately and succinctly. Performs physical examinations, including breast and pelvic examinations, cancer screening, STI diagnosis, and other specialized procedures as indicated. After observation and approval, provides direct medical care to patients for all core services, including family planning services. Participates in accomplishing customer‑focused goals, provides referrals, and assures follow‑up. Performs, orders and interprets diagnostic studies as permitted by affiliate protocols. Consults with Medical Director and other clinicians to ensure compliance with standards and guidelines. Provides relevant health instruction including family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion. Qualifications Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Missouri. Ability to work some Saturdays. Ability to travel to health center locations in Missouri. One to three years of provider experience. Experience with electronic medical records systems; Epic experience is a plus. Fluency in a second language is a plus. Compensation and Benefits $55–$60 an hour. Work week is 37.5 hours. Sign‑on bonus: $2,500 after 60 days, $5,000 after 12 months. Annual paid time off: Vacation – 112.5 hours, Sick Leave – 48 hours, Holidays – 105 hours (including a full holiday week in December). Parental leave: After 12 months of full‑time employment, employees are eligible for paid parental leave 100% base salary for 6 weeks.
