If you're looking for an organization that values hard work, innovation, and relationships, we'd love to have you join our team.Job Summary: Safely deliver building materials to work sites while adhering to DMV regulations and requirements.Key Responsibilities:Practice and provide excellent service for all customers.Protects company values by keeping financial information and plans confidential.Report Injuries to manager immediately.Drive safely and responsibly, immediately report any accidents or traffic violations.Additional job responsibilities to be determined by Manager.Sorting, stocking, and moving lumber and building materials in all types of weather and terrain.Loading supplies for customers.Operate power tools, saws, and chainsaws.Read special orders from salespeople.Read instructions from supervisors or salespeople in handling customer requests and safety procedures in the workplace.Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned. Operate hydraulic lift gates safely.Secure cargo for transport, using wedges and straps. Ensure safety when inspecting.Drive trucks to weigh stations along routes, to comply with state regulations.Use cellphones to exchange information with supervisors or other drivers. Ensure hands free communication while operating vehicle.Perform basic vehicle maintenance including adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairs.Load and unload trucks with a Moffitt, help others with loading and unloading, operating any powered equipment on vehicles and using other equipment as necessary.Perform Lumber returns from Jobsites back to location.May be required to manually carry loads inside residences.Responsible for following all safety rules and policies as outlined by the DOT and communicated by Bliffert Lumber Management.Responsible for following all general housekeeping practices as communicated by manager.Work well independently and in a team environment.Verifies that incoming materials are inspected, checked for damage, and counted for accuracy.Ensure incoming and outgoing deliveries are consistent with purchase orders in quantity and quality prior to accepting delivery or unloading products off trucks or prior to loading trucks to go out for delivery.Read carefully the products labels, warnings, and directions posted in the products and warehouse.Complete inventory sheets.Read invoices and orders.Read and follow work schedules.Enter number entries in loading sheets.Look in the charts for the weights of forklifts that can carry and lift.Must have Fed Med Card.Must have a valid CDL #J-18808-Ljbffr Bliffert Lumber
