Hot Chi brings one-of-a-kind Chicago fire and flavor to everything we do.

We opened our first location in Chatham in 2020, inside the former Harold's #55. What started as a bold idea in the middle of a pandemic turned into lines around the block and a growing brand with multiple locations, collabs with Chicago artists, and the mission to put Chicago-style hot chicken on the map .

What You'll Be Responsible For LEAD RESTAURANT OPERATIONS

Own your shift from open to close
Follow and complete opening/closing checklists
Monitor food safety standards and walk-in cooler organization
Operate and troubleshoot kitchen equipment
Adjust staffing in real-time to match business needs
Send daily shift summaries to management

ACCOUNTABILITY

Enforce policies around uniforms, punctuality, attendance, and phone use
Ensure all team members follow our Quality Identifier standards
Coach team members with respect, clarity, and firmness

CUSTOMER RECOVERY

Handle guest issues like a Hot Chi pro
Use the D.O.E. Method to resolve problems
Issue refunds or credits when needed to win customers back

INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

Receive and stow away deliveries
Create and oversee prep lists
Complete full inventory counts as scheduled
Communicate expected shortages to management

CASH HANDLING

Perform safe counts and reconciliation
Balance drawers and complete deposits at end of shift
Keep cashiers stocked with change and supplies

KITCHEN PREP

Master every item in the Hot Chi recipe book
Lead prep for all bulk kitchen items
Oversee the execution and quality of prep lists

• What We're Looking For

Leadership experience in a fast-paced restaurant or kitchen
Confidence in holding others accountable
Strong communication and organization skills
Comfort with basic math and handling cash
Cool under pressure and focused on solutions
Passion for great food and better teamwork
