We are urgently hiring machine operators in Newport, WA - Pay $20-$22/hr

Job Description

As a Winder/Kitter, you will operate equipment to produce graphite or fiberglass unidirectional prepreg (skins), and then cut these skins into 0/90 oriented kits of material. These kits serve as face sheet plies for honeycomb sandwich panels.

SHIFTS : Choose between weekend night shifts from Friday to Sunday/Monday (4pm-4am) or weekend day shifts from Friday-Sunday/Monday (4am-4pm)

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce unidirectional prepreg skins.
• Cut skins into 0/90 oriented kits for honeycomb sandwich panels.
• Follow production work orders to formulate each product.
• Complete each step of the work order and perform in-process quality checks.
• Report to the Winder Production Supervisor.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of relevant, steady work history preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficiency in English speaking, reading, and writing.
• Good basic math skills.
• Legible handwriting and printing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newport, WA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
