Interventional Radiologist

Join us as an Interventional Radiologist at the San Antonio VA Medical Center located in San Antonio, TX. *1099 and W-2 options available, inquire for more details.Duties include:Providing a full range of Interventional Radiology services to VA patients.Estimated 90% of time providing direct patient care.Direct patient care procedures, on-call duties, and patient follow-ups.Complete any required training.Provide consultation with instruction to referring physicians regarding clinically appropriate course of treatment.Review consults/orders and next-day patient cases for minimum 2 hours daily.Provide post-procedure evaluation, follow-up and clinical consultation regarding complications of interventional radiological procedures.Schedule: Full-time, 7A-4P Mon-Fri. Call required during hours clinic is closed including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must be available within 15 minutes for phone consultations.Period of Performance: 1 base year 7/1/2026-6/30/2027 w/ 4 renewal options for a total of 5 years.Who we are:Monterey is a Veterans Affairs (VA) Verified Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and a Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB). Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree.Board Certification. All contractor’s physician(s) shall be Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology ( and certification. Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. BLS or ACLS, DEA and NPI required.Experience. Must be capable of demonstrating technical proficiency.English Language Proficiency: In accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(f), no person shall serve in direct patient care positions unless they are proficient in basic written and spoken English.Subject to background/security investigation.Must pass TB test.Complete an online onboarding process.Willingness to comply with Department of Veterans Affairs vaccination programs for seasonal influenza and COVID-19.Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.Must be authorized to work in the United States. #J-18808-Ljbffr
