Project Manager, Multi-Family (Market Rate)

Location: Columbus, OH (local or open to relocation) | Schedule: Full-time, on-site | Compensation: $115,000 – $125,000 per year (dependent on experience) + relocation assistance, performance and signing bonuses Overview An employee-owned (ESOP) construction firm is seeking a driven Project Manager to oversee market-rate multi-family housing projects in the Columbus, OH area. This role owns each project's full lifecycle, from initial site setup through final close-out, and plays a key part in delivering high-quality developments while maintaining strong relationships with clients, tradesmen, and community stakeholders. What you'll do Lead the successful, cost-effective execution of multi-family developments while managing multiple projects concurrently Develop, maintain, and enforce comprehensive construction schedules Direct and train on-site personnel, manage daily performance, and proactively resolve on-site issues Serve as the primary point of contact, communicating with owners, design professionals, property staff, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and the public Act as a dedicated customer sponsor to ensure client satisfaction and maintain strong business relationships Required qualifications Minimum of 5 years in construction, with required previous Project Manager experience in multi-family housing 4-year degree with 2–4 years of related PM experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience Must submit a multi-family project list alongside your application Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly master Procore Strong ability to read complex financial and legal documents, establish facts, and solve problems independently Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Physical requirements: frequently stand, walk, and sit; regularly talk, hear, see, and use hands to handle materials; occasionally stoop, kneel, crawl, or lift/move up to 25 lbs (reasonable accommodations may be provided) Preferred qualifications Commercial or K–12 construction background is a highly valued bonus Compensation and benefits Competitive base salary of $115,000 – $125,000 per year, dependent on experience Employee ownership (ESOP) with a direct stake in the company's long-term success Weekly pay, signing bonus, and performance-based bonuses Relocation assistance for out-of-town candidates relocating to Columbus Full health, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) retirement plan and Health Savings Account (HSA) Generous paid time off (PTO) Professional development assistance Why this role This position offers a direct stake in company success through employee ownership, along with competitive pay, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits while leading impactful multi-family housing projects in the Columbus area. #J-18808-Ljbffr Software Placement Group, SPG
