We provide high-quality products and professional services in a comfortable, casual, non-corporate atmosphere with respect and appreciation for one another.Make a difference in YOUR life and become a part of the Hoover Family!What You Will Be Doing:Sets up and operates machines for production runs of small jewelry parts, including pneumatic drop hammers and power pressesIs able to make adjustments when product specifications are not within toleranceUses precise measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipersInspects the product using precise measuring instruments and is able to identify defectsPrioritizes jobs by oldest date, customer, and capacityPerforms assembly-type functions, using hand or power toolsIdentifies parts and part descriptions using work order informationMaintains a clean, safe work area with reasonable maintenance of tools & equipmentProvides accurate daily accounting and reporting of tasks, parts, and metal inventoryPrioritizes safety and uses additional safety equipment when necessaryUses LEAN manufacturing methods to improve workspace, procedures, tooling and equipmentPerforms other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum of 1 year of documented manufacturing experienceMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be detail orientedBasic computer skills are necessary for tracking of jobs and clocking in and out dailyMust have great time management skills and be able to balance changing job prioritiesAbility to concentrate and do repetitive workDemonstrates good verbal and written communication skillsMust have the ability to multi-taskEnvironment:Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 50 lbs.)Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, hazardous chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dustWhy You'll Like Working Here:Paid Time Off - 14 days (pro-rated first year)Nine paid holidaysEligibility for 401k, with Company Profit Sharing contributionsCompany contribution to your Medical and Dental plansCompany paid Life InsuranceVoluntary Vision and Supplemental Insurance AvailableCompany paid Tuition Reimbursement for qualified coursesPerformance bonuses and Spot AwardsMonthly luncheons, cookouts and other fun activitiesDays Only - No Shift WorkAll applicants must complete the online application at careers.hooverandstrong.com or find us on Indeed.com.
