Should be able to communicate architectural trade-offs when designing complex API systems.LLM expertise: Hands-on experience invoking LLMs and running prompt experiments, plus the ability to articulate how LLM invocation patterns are treated in API designAgent workflows: Experience building agents with established frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAISearch systems and context engineering: Experience with RAG, semantic search, vector stores, and knowledge graphsExperience with workflow observability, including prompt and model tracking tools (MLflow, LangSmith, or equivalent)

Qualifications

A minimum of five years of software engineering experienceA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business discipline, or equivalent experienceGenerally 4-6+ years of professional experienceStrong oral and written communication skills; presentation skillsProficient in consensus building and facilitationAbility to learn and adopt new technologiesUnderstanding of AWS architectures and technical standardsProficiency in multiple programming languages and toolsUnderstanding of agile data engineering concepts and processesConsultative skills, including the ability to understand and apply customer requirements, drawing out unforeseen implications and making recommendations for design, the ability to define design reasoning, and understanding potential impacts of design requirementsCollaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills requiredAI Fluency: Actively uses AI tools to improve the speed, quality, and scale of work; can point to concrete workflows where AI adds value; critically evaluates and validates AI-generated output; and applies AI responsibly, protecting confidential and customer data.
