Senior Quality Engineer

Quality EngineerWe are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations, customer quality requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving product and process quality, supporting audits, addressing nonconformances, leading corrective action activities, and maintaining compliance with applicable quality management system requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesLead quality investigations utilizing root cause analysis methodologies and drive corrective/preventive actions to resolution.Monitor manufacturing quality metrics, including process performance, defect reduction initiatives, DPMO, and material review board activities.Provide timely support to production teams by resolving manufacturing quality concerns and containment issues.Maintain customer complaint and nonconformance systems, including investigation and response activities related to customer corrective action requests.Support product qualification efforts and facilitate quality requirements associated with new product introduction programs.Create and maintain quality plans tailored to specific customer and product requirements.Assist with customer, regulatory, certification, and internal audit activities.Conduct and oversee internal audit programs, including layered process audits and cross-functional audit participation.Support continual improvement and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).Ensure compliance with applicable quality, environmental, and industry standards, including ISO and IPC requirements.Partner with supplier quality resources to investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues.Provide training support, mentorship, and guidance to production and quality personnel as needed.Perform routine process assessments and manufacturing audits alongside engineering, operations, and quality teams.Participate in site-wide and regional quality improvement initiatives.Collaborate with other quality engineering team members on systemic quality issues and CAPA effectiveness.Analyze and report quality data to identify trends and drive process improvements.Remain current with changing quality regulations, standards, and industry requirements impacting manufacturing operations.Escalate significant quality concerns, trends, and risks to site leadership as appropriate.Required QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in a Quality Engineering or similar role within a manufacturing environment.Strong understanding and practical application of ISO 9001 requirements and related quality standards.Experience working within regulated and certified environments, including cGMP, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, AS9100, AS9102, and ISO-based systems preferred.Solid technical foundation in electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing processes.Experience supporting low-volume/high-mix PCBA manufacturing and/or new product introduction (NPI) programs.Working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques, implementation, and reporting.Demonstrated ability to lead structured problem-solving efforts and implement sustainable corrective actions.Familiarity with inspection methodologies, workmanship standards, and soldering processes.Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles; CSSGB or CSSBB certification is a plus.Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience in electronics manufacturing and/or medical device production.Proven experience conducting audits and leading RCA/CAPA activities.Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives.ASQ certifications such as CMQ/OE, CQE, or CQA are highly desirable.This is a Permanent position based out of Plano, TX.The pay range for this position is $115000.00 - $140000.00/yr.Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Health, Dental, Vision + up to 4 weeks PTOThis is a fully onsite position in Plano, TX.This position is anticipated to close on Sep 8, 2026.Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
