Part-Time After-School String Ensemble Instructor

5/1/2026 Lowell School is looking for an engaging and dynamic String Ensemble Instructor to teach students in grades 2–8 and adult participants starting this summer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for music education and expertise in string performance and instruction. This role includes close collaboration with the Director of After‑School Music and is anticipated to start at one day per week. Qualifications: 1-2+ years of music teaching/ensemble directing experience Positive and friendly attitude Passion for working with children; ability to motivate and support children in reaching high levels of academic success Belief in the value of enrichment education for all children Major Responsibilities: Preparing students for performances Create dynamic lesson experiences to ensure students are challenged and inspired. Show evidence of adapting and differentiated instruction for all students Maintain complete and accurate records for attendance Develop and maintain genuine, positive, and consistent communication with parents.
