Grocery Sales Associate

Location 65 Meadow Green Drive Responsibilities Keep the Grocery department well stocked, organized and appealing to meet customer demands and maximize sales. Build displays to drive incremental sales. Stock and rotate merchandise to ensure freshness. Keep products within easy customer reach. Store excess merchandise according to backroom organization guidelines. Smile and greet customers, answer customer questions and help resolve customer concerns promptly in a polite and professional manner. Apply proper stocking techniques to ensure products are properly located on shelves, ensuring merchandise is in saleable condition with correct prices and signs. Assist with receiving, unloading, checking‑in, breaking‑down, and storing deliveries through operation of power jack or hand jack (training provided). Handle damaged or discontinued items according to company policy. Remove product that cannot be sold. Maintain general sanitation in the department. Follow cleaning schedules and department guidelines to ensure that work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, etc. are well maintained, clean and meet all health and OSHA requirements. Dispose of trash properly. Maintain productivity standards, work methods and standards and shrink control. Comply with security regulations and policies. Put out stock at an acceptable rate as determined by company standards. Assist with baling cardboard or other related duties (training provided). Ensure smooth function of department and store by cooperating with co‑workers and supervisors. Continuously improve job performance. Utilize all company‑provided Personal Protected Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to cut‑resistant gloves, safety cutters, company‑sponsored footwear, etc. May also be called upon to assist in other departments. Supervisory Responsibilities This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without an accommodation.
