Description

American Traveler is hiring a Clinical Supervisor for a Transitional Support Services program requiring a master's degree and supervisory experience in substance use counseling.

Details

• Short-term residential treatment program providing a 24-hour structured environment for men in early recovery from substance use addiction
• Full-time schedule, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shift
• No weekend shifts required, though major holidays such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day are observed
• Participates in rotating weekend and after-hours on-call coverage
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active MA license in hand required
• Master's degree in clinical psychology, mental health, psychology, rehabilitative counseling, social work, or closely related field required
• Independent licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LADC I) preferred, with candidates required to be on track to obtain independent licensure prior to January 1, 2028
• Two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience required
• At least one year of full-time equivalent clinical supervisory experience required, though candidates without supervisory experience may be considered if independently licensed
• Demonstrated ability to work sensitively with a substance use treatment population in a multicultural, customer service-oriented environment
• Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills with emphasis on maintaining confidentiality

Additional Information

• Provides clinical supervision and crisis consultation to clinical staff and interns
• Maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practices, including Medication Assisted Treatment for opioid use disorders
• Oversees training, caseload assignments, and monitoring of clinical staff
• Conducts assessments and provides individual and group services to residents requiring additional support
• Chairs weekly multidisciplinary treatment team meetings to discuss and develop client treatment strategies
• Audits clinical documentation for compliance with state regulations
• Collaborates with program leadership to review and improve clinical program design and group treatment curriculum
• Participates in meetings with internal and external stakeholders and community service providers
• Temp-to-perm opportunity available for the right fit
• Required vaccinations include COVID-19 (plus booster) and flu, with medical exemptions allowed
• Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius, and local candidates are not eligible
• Previous BILH employees (travel, perm, or per diem) must have a 6-month break before returning to any BILH facility
