Within this hospital-based environment, the Physical Therapist will provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to a diverse adult and geriatric caseload. You will evaluate patients, develop individualized plans of care, implement evidence-based interventions, and collaborate closely with physicians, nursing, case management, and other therapy disciplines. Clinical practice may include treating patients with orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and post-surgical conditions, as well as those recovering from illness or injury in acute care, step-down, or post-acute settings. A typical day involves performing thorough assessments, documenting findings and progress in the EMR, partnering with the care team on daily rounds or huddles, and providing ongoing patient and family education. Patient volumes and ratios are designed to allow for attentive, patient-centered care and appropriate time for documentation and collaboration.
