Shaping resilient and scalable cloud foundations, the full-time Staff Cloud Infrastructure Architect will define cloud architecture standards, oversee platform modernization, and design capacity strategies while working remotely to support Empower's growth in a highly regulated environment. Key responsibilities Define cloud architecture principles and modernization roadmaps across Azure and AWS, translating business priorities into actionable strategies Architect the migration of on-premises workloads to cloud-native services, ensuring compliance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness Establish Infrastructure-as-Code standards and engineer intelligent automation for operational processes to enhance efficiency and quality Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience Ten or more years of progressive infrastructure or cloud engineering experience, with substantial architecture ownership across Azure and AWS Demonstrated success in designing secure and resilient cloud platforms in fast-paced environments Advanced proficiency with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code lifecycle practices Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Terraform certification strongly preferred
