Volunteer Grant Writer – Nonprofit Organization

In this role, you’ll help secure funding to sustain and grow our programs, all while gaining valuable experience and access to training and professional development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Research potential funding opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
- Write and submit persuasive grant proposals, tailored to funders’ requirements and priorities.
- Collaborate with staff and board members to gather necessary information for grant applications.
- Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Assist with grant reporting, including progress updates and final reports to funders.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in grant writing and nonprofit funding.
Qualifications:
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
- Research skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in grant writing or nonprofit work is a plus, but not required.
- Passion for community service and alignment with our mission.
Time Commitment:
Approximately 5-10 hours per month, with flexibility based on grant deadlines.
