Position We are growing and seeking two Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Surgeons to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery Baylor College of Medicine working at CHRISTUS Children’s (formerly The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio), the first and only freestanding, academic, not-for-profit children’s hospital in San Antonio. Location CHRISTUS Children’s, downtown San Antonio, Texas. Program Needs Hepatopancreaticobiliary (HPB) Program Solid Tumor Program Colorectal and Bowel Management Program Adolescent Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Program (newly developed) Robotic surgery program (newly developing) Responsibilities Caring for patients at the main campus in downtown San Antonio and in the community through outpatient satellite clinics. Collaborating with two experienced pediatric surgeons with advanced minimally invasive, robotic, aerodigestive, bariatric, thoracic and foregut experience. Working with three skilled APPs (planned fourth) who take first call from the ED. Engaging in academic medicine and teaching medical students. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery. Strong clinical focus on exceptional patient care. Interest in academic medicine and teaching. Passion for specialty and ability to build relationships internally and within the community. Experience with interdisciplinary specialty program development is desirable but not required.
