ASDOH - Dental Assistant - Float Job Type: Full‑time A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health (ATSU-ASDOH) is seeking a non‑exempt Float Dental Assistant on the Mesa, Arizona campus. Duties & Responsibilities Assist students/residents and/or faculty. Maintain supply levels. Maintain organization and cleanliness of operatories used in the surgery department. Maintain suction lines and DUWL. Weekly meetings with students. Responsible for clinic department closure (e.g., transport instruments to sterilization, computer/monitor shutdown, close vertical blinds, turn N2O off, organize operatories, etc.). Process biopsies (Oral/Perio Surgery). Participate in staff meetings and other departmental meetings. Provide feedback on supply usage and possible cost savings measures. Continuing education course attendance. CPR certification course to maintain current CPR certification. Requirements Must be CPR and X‑Ray certified. Must have 2–3 years previous dental assisting experience; CDA preferred. At least one year electronic healthcare records (EHR) software experience. Knowledgeable in OSHA standards, aseptic procedures, HIPAA regulations, sterilization, infection control, and all dental procedures and supplies. Professional appearance and strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills are a must. Must be flexible, able to change assignments with little direction. Must work well independently and in a group environment. A.T.
