• Maintain a professional image and exhibit excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with service excellence standards and core values.
• Assess the needs of patients based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
• Delegate, supervise, and evaluate the activities of other team members while executing immediate directives in urgent or emergent situations.
• Provide appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating prescribed medical plans of care.
• Complete verification of the Safe Surgery checklist using service excellence standards.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format.
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff; assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned.
• Prep the operating room for patient/procedure.
• Contribute to the daily efficient performance of the department.
• Position and prepare the patient on the operating table.
• Serve as the communication liaison to family and members of the operating team.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
• Perform other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.
• Willingly participate in assigned call as scheduled.
• Possess computer skills, with knowledge of computer programs utilized to deliver patient care.
• Assist in the control and maintenance of supplies and equipment.
• Perform all circulating duties with efficiency and speed.

Unit Description: CVOR, which averages 6 cases per day. This position is ideal for someone confident in performing open heart surgery and vascular cases.
