Labor & Delivery RN

Description As a Labor & Delivery RN, you will work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, Nursing Managers, and Chief Nursing Officer to deliver comprehensive patient care. Your responsibilities include: Conducting initial and ongoing assessments. Developing patient care plans using the Care Plan (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) framework. Directing and delivering patient care, while providing patient and family education. Identifying and correcting variances from the patient’s plan of care. Completing discharge planning. Reporting directly to the Charge Nurse. Requirements Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate from an accredited nursing training program as Registered Nurse. Experience: 2 years of Labor, Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum experience. Specific Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills, basic nursing skills, and willingness to float to Med Surg during low census (6 months acute care experience preferred). Computer Skills: Moderate computer proficiency. Licenses: Arizona State Nursing License or compact state licensure. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, & NRP required; PALS preferred.
