divh2Sales Consultant/h2pThe Sales Consultant (SC) is responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the retail sale of trailers, trailer accessories, and service. The position works closely with customers in the sales process, handling any questions, qualifying details, and providing the necessary feedback. The position networks and negotiates deals with customers and uses online customer management systems to maintain customer information and requests./ppThe essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to following:/pulliSell trailers, trailer accessories, and service./liliAccurately represent the companys products and discuss them on behalf of TrailersPlus./liliDevelop and maintain relationships with customers via in-person visits, phone and email. Scheduling as many personal appointments with customers as possible with provided leads./liliIdentify trailers, trailer accessories, and services that will meet the customers needs by asking several questions and listening to the customers responses and demonstrating the benefits of TrailersPlus products as they relate to the customers needs./liliKnow and understand all of the customers objections. Continue the sales presentation until all objections have been exhausted and until the customer either makes a purchase or flatly refuses to do so, closing deals by asking for a sale./liliUnderstand the terms of TrailersPlus sales and collect money in the form of cash, checks, certified checks, credit cards, financing, or approved purchase orders./liliInform management of all critical and/or time sensitive issues in a timely manner./liliDocument all customer interactions and tasks on appropriate company forms or using appropriate company computer systems./liliMaintain the work area by cleaning and organizing as necessary, in order to promote safety, security, and a professional appearance./liliObtain state and city vehicle sales licenses, where required by law./liliPerforms other duties as assigned./liliResponsible for generating leads in the local market./liliAbility to operate forklift and tractor. (Company certification required)/liliAbility to operate power tools and welding equipment. (Company certification required)/li/ulpSelf-motivation, professionalism, superior sales expertise, networking, and negotiating ability, expertise in quality customer service, attention to detail and organization, ability to absorb information in a timely manner./ppThis job has no supervisory responsibilities./ppTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Spoken fluency in Spanish is a plus./ppRequires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. The Sales Consultant must also be able to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry as needed./ppKnowledge of on-line computer systems is required for successful completion of the Sales Consultant job responsibilities and assignments. Basic keyboarding skills are also needed for efficiency./ppMust be able to solve practical problems dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The position also requires the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form./ppWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use their hands to handle or feel, reach with their hands and arms while balancing, routinely lift 50-75 lbs, and climb ladders./ppThe employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, as well as outside weather conditions during the performance of the job responsibilities. The employee may also be required to move mechanical parts and may be exposed to materials as described in MSDS documents.
