PRN CT Technologist

PRN CT TechnologistAmerican Health Imaging is looking for a registered PRN CT Technologist for Conyers, GA location. This is a PRN role, with hours from either 7AM to 10PM.Job Summary:As a registered CT Technologist, you will perform high quality scans while providing excellent customer care and service to patients!Responsibilities:Perform CT examinations as ordered and accurately critique images to ensure diagnostic quality.Choose appropriate protocol and technical factors according to age, size and symptoms of patientProvide thorough explanation of procedure to the patient, anticipating and responding to patients' needs and questionsPosition patients appropriately for ordered exam and assist patients on/off examination table as needed.Monitor patients during examVerify patient information and obtain comprehensive medical history including any related prior studiesObtain consent for administration of IV contrast and follow established practices to provide treatment, documentation and follow-up in the case of any adverse effects of IV contrast administrationPerform venipuncture for administration of IV contrastPrepare and administer contrast media according to established practicesUtilize scanner within manufacture guidelines and take appropriate action for service as neededUtilize PACS and RIS for image processing and accurate documentationMaintain clear and safe environment, which includes preparing room for each patientPerform daily and monthly QA procedures on scannerFollow ALARA principles, Image Gently and Image Wisely to insure safe radiation practices.Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA and Corporate Compliance regulationsInitiate basic life support actions when necessaryUse infection control practicesMaintain punctuality and regular attendanceAll other duties as assignedQualifications:Graduate of approved program for Radiological TechnologyARRT and CT Registry requiredCurrent BLS/CPR trainingCT scanner operation and trainingCT anatomy and knowledge of medical terminologyKnowledge of operation system of CT scanner, RIS and PACSBasic proficiency with computer monitors, keyboard and mouse for scanning, RIS and PACS useOrganized, detail oriented, observantCalm and effective communicatorHelpful, patient and sympatheticPhysical Demands of the Position:Lifting, moving, positioning and assisting of patients on/off examination tableWalking 25% of shift, standing 50% of shift, sitting 25% of shiftWorking Conditions:Daily patient contactRobust benefit offerings include:Medical / Dental / Vision / Life / Pharmacy Plans, with Benefits effective first day of the month following hire date401(k)Employer Paid Short-Term DisabilityEmployer Paid Life/AD&DVoluntary LifePaid Maternity LeavePaid Vacation TimePTO Accrual Beginning Day 1Colleague Referral Bonus ProgramLumexa Imaging provides a competitive compensation program to attract, retain, and motivate a high-performance workforce.Lumexa Imaging is an equal opportunity employer.
