Dump Truck Driver

Job Description

The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely transporting construction materials during day shifts. This role requires operating manual transmission dump trucks while adhering to safety protocols and ensuring timely delivery. Drivers will perform vehicle inspections, plan routes efficiently, and communicate effectively within a supervised and independent work environment. No overnight travel is required.

Responsibilities

Operate manual transmission dump trucks to transport construction materials
Navigate planned routes efficiently and adhere to schedules
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
Apply safety protocols consistently during vehicle operation
Manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines
Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding route progress and any issues

Required Qualifications

3-5 years of experience driving dump trucks
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Proficient in operating manual transmission vehicles
Experienced in vehicle inspection and maintenance
Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to dump truck operation
Effective route planning and time management skills
Reliable communication abilities
Demonstrated strong work ethic with references
