Chromalloy is looking for a Buyer to join our Windsor, CT team. In this role, you'll help ensure the right materials and services are available to keep operations running safely, on time, and at the right cost.

You'll work closely with operations, planning, and suppliers to support daily production while identifying opportunities to improve cost, performance, and processes.

What You'll Do

• Partner with operations to understand material and service needs
• Create and manage purchase orders to meet production demand
• Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, fill rate)
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier agreements
• Identify and drive cost savings opportunities
• Support make vs. buy decisions with data and analysis
• Maintain accurate supplier lead times in planning systems
• Help keep inventory strategies (min/max, Kanban) up to date
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes and standards
• Evaluate supplier risks and support continuous improvement efforts

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• High attention to detail and follow-through

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
