Production Accountant

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree. Other degrees and industry related experience may be considered in lieu of an Accounting degree.\n- 2 years or more of Oil and Gas Production Accounting is required.\n- experience with SAP or Procount (Procount preferred)\n- Solid understanding of production accounting, including allocation methods and reconciliation.\n- Advanced Excel skills.

Job Description

The Production Accountant is responsible for supporting the accurate accounting, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of oil, gas, and water production volumes by maintaining production accounting system setups, analyzing production data from multiple internal and external sources, and ensuring the integrity of production records. This role performs daily and monthly volume analyses and reconciliations, investigates and resolves discrepancies, collaborates closely with field personnel and operational teams to facilitate production accounting processes, and ensures timely and accurate reporting. The Production Accountant plays a critical role in meeting month-end close deadlines, maintaining data accuracy, supporting operational and financial decision-making, and identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting efficiency, and data quality across production accounting activities.
