Non-Tenure Track Adjunct Instructor (Social Work) - Pool

* Teach up to 7 undergraduate/graduate SCH per semester (less than 50% FTE)* Maintain and manage student records* Post grades (assignments, mid-term & final) in a timely manner* Submit attendance reporting* Mentor and assist students* Post and maintain office hours for a minimum of three (3) hours per week* Attend student class orientation as needed (if required by the hiring department)* Attend clinical/simulation/studio meetings as needed (if required by hiring department)* Other duties as assigned by the department head**Faculty Credentialing** **Requirements:*** Prior teaching experience at the collegiate level.* Knowledge of online learning management systems.* Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks.* Sufficient knowledge of the subject area being taught.* Knowledge of a variety of teaching methods to provide effective learning experiences.* Technical competence in appropriate subject matter and the ability to apply this knowledge to the solution of problems.* Understanding of the learning and development processes of youth and adults.* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.* Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, and community members.* Ability to use virtual technology and related software to support online teaching (if required by the hiring department).At PVAMU, we are more than just an institution of higher learning — we are a vibrant community of scholars, innovators, and changemakers dedicated to excellence in education, research, and service.
