Position Summary To support, implement, and monitor nursing care in a timely and accurate manner. Position Requirements Licensed by the State of Tennessee. Graduate of an approved school of nursing. BLS certification within 90 days of hire. Workplace Experience Patient care delivery. Equipment and Skills Training The ability to work well under pressure, function dependently and independently, and apply basic nursing knowledge across diverse settings. Order Entry Computer System Telemetry AT&T Language Line Omnicell Medication System Physical Environment A medical/surgical unit with patients ranging from less than one year of age to ninety‑nine years of age. Physical Effort Communicate in English, orally and in writing. Prolonged standing and work up to twelve hours per day. Push/pull objects up to 175 lbs. Assist in lifting and turning patients up to 250 lbs. Performance Standards Revises the patient’s care plan individually, identifies problems and needs, creates nursing diagnoses, sets standards of care, and implements interventions aligned with attained outcomes. Assists with patient teaching, discharge, and post‑discharge needs. Operates independently with appropriate treatments, procedures, and equipment in line with policy, procedure, and competency assessments. Handles, transports, stores, prepares, administers, and solves safely per hospital and departmental protocols. Monitors and reports patient condition, evaluates response to treatment, and modifies care plans timely. Documents accurately and promptly.
