Laredo, United States | Posted on 10/06/2025 Clinical Shift Schedule: 12-hour shifts (days, nights, and overnights) COVERAGE DATES PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults and Geriatrics Patient Volume/Census: Annual ED volume approximately 43,000 FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 38 ED beds (3 Trauma, 8 Fast Track) Trauma Level: Level III (typical for regional facility; confirm if different) Specialty Backup Available: Yes – Multiple Specialties Support Staff Available: RNs, APPs, and Allied Health Staff PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered REQUIRED PROCEDURES Full scope of Emergency Medicine procedures ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications required (ATLS current not required for ABEM-certified physicians) Annual requirement: 9 hours of Stroke CME and 9 hours of Trauma CME JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Texas Medical License and DEA (with TX address) Board: Board Certified in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM (or osteopathic equivalents) Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, and PALS required; Current ATLS not required for ABEM providers (initial ATLS required) Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty Other Qualifications: Annual Stroke CME (9 hours), Annual Trauma CME (9 hours), case logs for past 2 years; copies of all diplomas, SS card, driver’s license, and photo required for MSO submission DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for patients presenting to the ED Assess, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions in an emergency setting Coordinate with nursing and support staff for efficient patient throughput Document all encounters accurately within the EMR system Participate in emergency response and trauma activations as required #J-18808-Ljbffr
