What We Are Looking ForKinder Morgan, one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, is seeking an Application Developer Analyst to join our Operational Support Group (OSG).This position is part of a GIS and Engineering-focused application team that develops and supports enterprise solutions for approximately 79,000 miles of pipelines (natural gas, crude oil, gasoline, CO₂) and 139+ terminals. The team builds and maintains custom applications that support operations, engineering, and business functions across the organization.We are looking for a candidate with a strong blend of application development, database expertise, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) experience within the ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem.What You Will DoWithin the OSG group, you will support applications used by Operations and Engineering to support the safe operation of our vast pipeline assets.Core ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, deploy, and support custom applications using .NET (C#) technologiesSupport and enhance GIS-enabled applications integrated with line of business applicationsWork with internal teams and third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and deliver solutionsDevelop and maintain SQL Server databases to support data management associated with the applications in the groupParticipate in project planning, provide status updates, and contribute to solution designCreate and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and data flowsDevelop business and operational reports using SQL, SSRS, and Power BITroubleshoot production issues and provide after-hours support as neededGIS ResponsibilitiesSupport and enhance enterprise GIS applications and spatial data workflowsDevelop and maintain GIS web applications, services, and integrationsWork with spatial datasets, map services, and feature servicesIntegrate GIS capabilities with custom .NET applications and enterprise systemsWhat You NeedEducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience2–4 years of relevant experience (3+ years preferred)Position RequirementsStrong experience with .NET development (C#, VB.NET, or related technologies)Experience working with SQL Server databasesDatabase design, development, and performance tuningData import/export and transformationExperience supporting and troubleshooting large enterprise applicationsStrong understanding of system integration and data workflowsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple prioritiesCommitment to delivering high-quality, reliable solutionsGIS / ESRI Technical RequirementsStrong experience with the ESRI ArcGIS ecosystem, including:ArcGIS Enterprise / ArcGIS PortalArcGIS OnlineArcGIS ServerArcGIS ProArcGIS Experience BuilderSurvey123ArcGIS REST APIExperience developing, configuring, and supporting GIS web applications and services using C# and PythonKnowledge of spatial data models, geoprocessing tools, and map/feature servicesExperience integrating GIS capabilities with enterprise applications and databasesUnderstanding of GIS architecture in an enterprise environmentPreferred SkillsExperience with PODS (Pipeline Open Data Standard) data models and implementationsExperience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly pipeline or midstream operationsExperience supporting third-party/vendor applicationsExperience building web and desktop applications using .NETFamiliarity with data visualization tools (SSRS, Power BI)Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and AccessKnowledge of engineering, asset management, or operational systemsAdditional RequirementsAbility to provide after-hours/on-call support when requiredCompensation & BenefitsThis position includes a discretionary annual incentive plan and a comprehensive benefits package, which may include:Medical, dental, vision coverageHealth Savings and Flexible Spending AccountsLife and disability insurance401(k) with company match and company-funded pension planPaid time off and holidaysFlexible work scheduleWhy Join Kinder MorganKinder Morgan is a large energy infrastructure company operating in North America.
