We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations Coordinator to help coordinate production schedules, priorities, workflow, and communication across a metal manufacturing operation.

This is a highly visible position requiring someone who can confidently lead meetings, communicate with customers and stakeholders, work with production employees and department leaders, and keep manufacturing priorities moving forward.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of a CNC machining, metalworking, metal fabrication, or metal processing environment combined with strong leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS)
• Coordinate daily production priorities with department leads and manufacturing teams
• Lead production and operational meetings to communicate schedules, priorities, job status, quality concerns, and changing customer requirements
• Serve as a key communication point between customers, management, production employees, department leads, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Enter and maintain work orders within the ERP system
• Issue job route sheets and track work through the manufacturing process
• Process, communicate, and track expedited orders and priority changes
• Monitor job status and proactively communicate potential delays or production issues
• Coordinate priorities for outsourced manufacturing processes with external stakeholders
• Track manufacturing productivity and production performance
• Forecast and track monthly revenue based on scheduled and completed work
• Assist with troubleshooting quality issues using 5-Why, DMAIC, root-cause analysis, and other quality tools
• Support Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of manufacturing leadership, operations, production coordination, or related experience
• Experience within a metal fabrication, CNC machining, metalworking, or metal processing environment
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflow
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems, production scheduling, and work orders
• Strong leadership presence with the ability to lead meetings and drive accountability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate professionally with customers, employees, production leaders, management, and external stakeholders
• Experience managing changing production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience tracking productivity and production performance
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
• Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems and root-cause analysis
• Six Sigma/DMAIC experience is a plus, but not required
