Skip Loader Operator – Paving Experience Required

Womack Construction is seeking a reliable and experienced Skip Loader Operator with paving experience to join our construction crew. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating skip loaders on asphalt, grading, base preparation, and paving projects, and understands how to work safely and efficiently around paving crews, trucks, and jobsite equipment. Experience operating a paver would be a plus.

Position Details

· Position: Skip Loader Operator

· Employment Type: Full-time

· Location: Lake Almanor, CA

· Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

· Operate skip loader safely and efficiently on paving and grading projects.

· Perform fine grading, base preparation, spreading, leveling, and cleanup work.

· Work closely with paving crew members, supervisors, truck drivers, and other equipment operators.

· Assist with asphalt paving operations, jobsite preparation, and general labor as needed.

· Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety concerns.

· Follow all company safety procedures and jobsite traffic control requirements.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work area.

Qualifications

· Previous skip loader operating experience required.

· Previous asphalt paving experience required.

· Ability to grade, spread, and level material accurately.

· Knowledge of construction and paving jobsite safety practices.

· Reliable transportation and strong attendance.

· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

· Valid driver’s license preferred.
