Material Handler - 2nd Shift

The Material Handler - 2nd Shift is responsible for following standard material handling procedures including receiving, shipping, and warehousing activities while ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role involves using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, tow trains, and electric pallet jacks to move materials efficiently. The position also requires recording material movements in transactional record systems, including receipts and bookings, while continuously identifying and proposing improvements to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency. This position is designated as safety-sensitive under Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Job Responsibilities Manage inbound material flow and monitor inbound delivery performance. Receive, inspect and store inbound deliveries. Prepare packages and shipments. Perform reverse logistics and salvage activities. Locate stock and prepare stock for movement. Maintain inventory status. Perform physical inventory procedures. Work with recyclable material: moving bins, bailing boxes, and breaking down plastics. Work with scrap metal materials: cutting metal with torches, separating metal pieces, and organizing waste bins. Job Qualifications Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. 2+ years of forklifting experience. Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to program security clearance requirements and/or SSA requirements. Working hours will be from 3:15 to 11:45. Preferred Qualifications: Inventory Management. Inbound Operations. Mental and Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods of time. Lift up to 50 pounds. Good vision with correction.
