Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical Telemetry (RN M/S Tele)This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical/Surgical Telemetry. The position requires the ability to work a flexible schedule and includes a commitment to patient care in a clinical setting.This position typically involves shifts of 3x12 hours per week, with weekend responsibilities included in a 4-week schedule period.Client Details State AZThis role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing patients with acute and chronic medical conditions, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, utilizing telemetry equipment, and maintaining accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The nurse will also assist with various patient care tasks including post-operative care and monitoring for complications, collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes, participate in daily rounds and team meetings, and float to other units (IMC, ED) as required.The unit has 40 beds with patient ratios of 1:6. Equipment includes IV pumps, bed/chair alarms, drug dispensing cabinets, defibrillators, and the EHR system is Medhost.Qualifications include a Registered Nurse with an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN), ACLS certification required, a minimum of 2 years of acute care experience, experience in telemetry is essential, ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:6, previous travel nursing experience is preferred, and preceptor and charge nurse experience is an advantage.Personal attributes include strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and positive attitude, demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to patient-centered care and safety.Dress Code: Scrub Color: Black (top and bottom).
