Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery

Overview Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse for the LDRP. This is a night shift position with required call. Preferred applicants will have experience specifically in Labor and Delivery and will cross train into postpartum. Ideal applicants will have previous charge or supervisory experience. Location and Schedule City/State: Charlottesville, VA Work Shift: Third (Nights) Hours: Three 12-hour shifts per week with every 3rd weekend rotation on Saturday and Sunday. The required call is 16-24 hours per 6-week schedule. Sign on bonus up to $20,000 available for qualified candidates. LDRP Unit Description Sentara Martha Jefferson’s Women’s Health L&D and postpartum unit includes a 24-bed post-partum mother/baby unit. The Level 2 newborn specialty care nursery has a 1:1 ratio, and intermediate care babies have a 1:3 nursing ratio. The LDRP unit also offers post-operative care for complex GYN and breast surgical needs. The unit has a 100-member cross-trained team delivering care to Charlottesville, VA, and surrounding areas. The schedule is primarily 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holiday requirements. The unit has been recognized for quality care in national rankings.
