R&D Lab Manager

Bio-Techne seeks an R&D Lab Manager to oversee laboratory operations, equipment maintenance, and inventory management in Newark, CA. The role involves collaborating with R&D teams and cross-functional departments to maintain safe, organized, and efficient laboratory environments while supporting quality system objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manage laboratory equipment maintenance, service coordination, troubleshooting, and documentation
- Maintain inventories of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness, safety, organization, and coordinate waste disposal
- Coordinate staff onboarding, laboratory training, and adherence to procedures and best practices
- Partner with R&D leadership, EH&S, and Operations to identify operational improvements and risks
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, cell biology, life sciences, or related field
- 5+ years industry experience with B.S., or 2+ years with M.S. preferred
- Knowledge of standard cell and molecular biology techniques and basic statistical analysis
- Experience working within quality systems and laboratory management tools (ELN, LIMS)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and independent problem-solving ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication with team collaboration experience
Compensation: $79,800.00 - $131,100.00
