About the Position

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Cath Lab & Angio with scrub experience License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT-R Must-Have: Scrub experience required Description: Ideal candidates are experienced in both Cath Lab and Angio with scrub experience. This position will accept local travelers. Shifts are 4x10, Monday through Friday, from 07:00 to 17:30. On-call duty includes about one weeknight per week and one weekend every 3-4 weeks. Refusal to float as requested will result in cancellation of the contract. Travelers are required to complete any assigned education within one week of the assignment. Low census mandatory cancellation terms apply. Candidates must cancel 1.5 hours before the start of a shift. Personnel may be mandatorily canceled one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty. Scrub color will vary based on role; provided scrubs for certain specialties. All other units/specialties have no color restrictions besides all black, dark green, and camo. Epic is the charting system used. A comprehensive set of skills is essential, including cardiac stent placement, catheterizations, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. Experience with complex cardiac interventions, equipment such as OCT, IVUS, and IABP is necessary. The environment is a new, well-equipped lab with dedicated staff for turnover and maintenance. This role requires working with a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Candidates should expect to assist in a variety of special procedures and maintain a sterile field during interventions.
