Mitigation Project ManagerRestoration 1 of Leavenworth is seeking a driven, hands-on Mitigation Project Manager to lead our field operations across the greater Kansas City area. In this dual-impact role, you will be the primary face of our company on job sites—conducting initial field scopes, communicating our value to homeowners to secure signed work authorizations, and leading technicians through high-quality project execution. If you bring a strong restoration background, natural customer service and closing skills, and a commitment to operational excellence, this role offers direct earning potential tied to your field success and crew performance.Key ResponsibilitiesOn-Site Consultation & Value SellingPerform initial site assessments, moisture evaluations, and scope development immediately upon arrival.Present solutions, explain pricing structures clearly, and address homeowner concerns or hesitation with professionalism.Demonstrate the value of our emergency restoration services to successfully secure signed Work Authorizations on-site.Field Execution & Scoping DeliveryTranslate field assessments into detailed scope notes, job site photos, and moisture readings, delivering complete data sets to the Office Manager/Estimator for accurate billing.Lead hands-on mitigation efforts (water extraction, containment, equipment setup, demolition, and drying protocols) from start to finish.Maintain strict adherence to IICRC standards, safety protocols, and OSHA regulations across all active job sites.Team Leadership & MentorshipDirect, train, and mentor junior restoration technicians on proper equipment operation, drying procedures, and site maintenance.Manage daily field schedules, equipment deployment, and field inventory to maximize job site efficiency.Customer Experience & DocumentationServe as the primary point of contact for homeowners during field work, maintaining clear communication and high customer satisfaction scores.Ensure accurate, timely daily logging of job progress, psychrometric readings, equipment placement, and photo documentation in company job management software.Requirements & QualificationsExperience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in emergency water damage mitigation, mold remediation, and fire/smoke restoration.Certifications: Active IICRC WRT and ASD required. Additional certifications strongly preferred (AMRT, FSRT, OCT).Sales & Communication: Proven ability to consult with customers on-site, handle pricing objections calmly, and close agreements under high-stress conditions.Technical Skills: Experience using moisture tools, thermal imaging, field documentation software, and basic estimating inputs.Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces (crawlspaces, attics), and participate in an on-call rotation as required for emergency response.Compensation & BenefitsBase Salary: $48,000 – $56,000 / year (commensurate with experience)Performance Bonus / Commission Structure: Opportunity to earn per closed job authorization and team performance goals (Target Total Earnings: $58,000 – $68,000+)Perks: Monthly vehicle stipend, cell phone allowance, and professional certification support.About UsRestoration 1 of Leavenworth brings industry-leading emergency restoration services to homes and businesses across the Kansas City region.
