Geospatial Data Engineer

BAE Systems, Inc. has a contingent opening for a Geospatial Data Engineer supporting US Army INSCOM primarily on Ft. Gordon, GA. The candidate's role will be to work with GEOINT analysts to determine, create, and populate optimal data architectures, structures, systems, process automation, and models to support customer intelligence requirements. The Geospatial Data Engineer will be expected to assist in efforts such as, but not limited to:

• design, implementation, and operate data driven approaches to client's intelligence requirements;
• design how data will be stored, accessed, used, integrated, and managed by different data regimes and digital systems;
• developing, adapting, and integrating algorithms, software tools, and tradecraft to satisfy customer requirements.

These efforts will be to directly support GEOINT exploitation, analysis and reporting of all Advanced GEOINT and Full Spectrum GEOINT (FSG) related disciplines, tradecraft, and products produced by INSCOM MIB-Theater Integrated GEOINT Divisions (IGD). Sub-disciplines include but are not limited to Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR), Electro-Optical (EO), Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S), Wide Area Persistent Surveillance (WAPS), geospatial data processing, and general intelligence analysis. The candidate must possess familiarity in GEOINT operations and extensive knowledge in data analytics/engineering to be considered. Required Education, Experience, & Skills MA/MS degree from Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 5 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis experience; OR BA/BS degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Informatics, Statistics, or related field AND 10 years CURRENT Intelligence Analysis experience; OR HS diploma/GED AND Specialized Training with 15 years of Intelligence Analysis experience to include 10 years of CURRENT GEOINT Analysis experience AND 5 years of Data Analytics, Informatics, and/or Statistics experience. Excellent written & oral communication, research, and analytic skills. Expert ability to manage personnel, requirements, and coordination of projects. Expert capabilities to research, create, develop, and deliver professional briefings, multimedia presentations, and written reports. Experience utilizing programming languages such as SAS, R, Java, C, MATLAB, ScaLa, or Python; experience accelerating large data transactions across industry- leading GPU architectures to answer analytic questions. Experience with assessments, enterprise data integration, governance, and metrics, including the application of metadata management techniques and ability to interrogate databases efficiently using SQL. Experience with tradecraft and publication; ability to coordinate and support cross-community meetings and working groups; assimilate large volumes of information and independently produce reports using data science focused libraries such as Pandas, Scikit, TensorFlow and Gensim to answer analytical questions. Ability to work non-traditional hours or days if mission requirements emerge.

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $107359 - $182510 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
