In this role, you will develop advanced plasma technologies, design and execute tests to validate performance, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to integrate solutions into larger system architectures. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of plasma physics, experimental physics, and hardware troubleshooting.Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.Further Information About This OpportunityMUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Performs research and/or product development encompassing multiple engineering disciplines, such as electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.• Experience conducting laboratory experiments with plasmas.• Experience with diagnostic and data analysis techniques for plasmas• Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance to be obtained. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Desired Skills• M.S. in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline• Experience with high voltage, high power electrical systems• Experience with scientific computational tools (e.g. MATLAB, Python, 3D CAD, COMSOL, ANSYS)• Experience in plasma and/or electromagnetic modeling and simulation Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $91200.00 - $169400.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
