Job Summary
Set up and operate manual machining equipment to produce precision parts according to specifications. Responsible for maintaining quality standards and ensuring all work meets tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual machines for turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and deburring
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy
- Maintain tolerances up to .0005 inches
- Identify and report defects or discrepancies
- Track work and time in ERP system
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Keep work area clean and organized
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments
- Basic math and trigonometry skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills
- Reliable attendance required
