Responsibilities Monitor all aspects of quality control relative to mechanical equipment to ensure adherence to the Company technical requirements and applicable codes. Provide weekly input to the QA/QC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems. Provide expertise to site team to avoid/resolve quality problems. Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed. Verify that all testing procedures have been approved and are available on site. Confirm testing parameters are duly recorded, signed off and that testing equipment is calibrated. Attend and witness testing associated with mechanical equipment and systems. Typical tests include but are not limited to non-destructive examination of designated components, hydrostatic, pneumatic, mechanical QC activities as designated. Witness acceptance tests and final quality checks prior to acceptance as appropriate. Ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked and closed out prior to acceptance of the work. Review QA/QC files for accuracy and adequacy. Note: This job description does not necessarily cover every task or duty that might be assigned.
