Adept Nursing & Rehab of Gretna is now hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)!

Full-time

Our Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated COTA to join our therapy team and help residents regain independence, improve daily functioning, and enhance their quality of life.

Position Summary

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant works under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide rehabilitative services to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. This role focuses on helping residents improve their ability to perform activities of daily living and achieve their highest level of independence.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program
Current state COTA license
Previous experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

Responsibilities

Implement occupational therapy treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist
Assist residents with therapeutic activities to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and independence
Provide training in activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, and bathing
Document resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
Maintain a safe and supportive therapy environment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care plans
Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment
