Role Description This is an Independent Contractor Courier role based in the Traverse City, MI Area. The courier will pick up, transport, and deliver a variety of time-sensitive items, such as documents, specimens, and small cargo, following assigned routes and schedules. Daily responsibilities include verifying shipment details, ensuring secure handling of deliveries, obtaining required signatures or proof of delivery, and communicating promptly with dispatch and clients about status updates or issues. The role involves adhering to safety and traffic regulations, maintaining a clean and reliable vehicle, and following company procedures for documentation, tracking, and handling special security or budgetary requirements. Independent Contractor Couriers are expected to work efficiently, provide professional and courteous service, and support the overall reliability of NW Pro Couriers’ logistical operations. Qualifications Strong customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and represent NW Pro Couriers positively. Experience with logistics management and transportation to handle routing, delivery schedules, and secure cargo handling. Background in training or willingness to learn and follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols. Ability to work with food & beverage items or other sensitive materials when required, following handling guidelines. Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and access to a reliable, well-maintained vehicle suitable for courier work. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Capability to use smartphones or tablets for navigation, communication, and delivery tracking applications.
