Bridge EngineerWe are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bridge Engineer to join our growing Reston, VA team. We are currently expanding our design services to support client and project needs in the Structural/Transportation focus areas. The successful candidate will assist in the design of simple and complex fixed bridges, movable bridges, and perform bridge inspections as part of a highly technical group. At H&H, you'll join a firm that is building on its legacy by aligning expertise, expanding opportunity, and positioning itself for long-term, sustainable growth.ResponsibilitiesPerform structural design and analysis tasks for projects including bridge rehabilitation and replacement projects under the oversight of a Senior EngineerPrepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned tasksPerform engineering calculations pertaining to, and in support of, the detailed plans and construction documents developedDevelop contract specifications, contract bid documents, and technical report writingOccasionally perform bridge inspections and load ratings on local agency structures
