About the Opportunity

Titan Fire & Life Safety is seeking an experienced ITM Operations Manager to lead and optimize our growing Inspection, Testing & Maintenance department.

We are looking for an accomplished operations leader with a proven track record of managing field-service teams, improving scheduling and route efficiency, maximizing technician productivity, and driving operational profitability.

Fire sprinkler or fire alarm experience is not required. We are more interested in candidates who have successfully managed recurring inspection, preventive maintenance, or field-service operations.

This position offers significant autonomy, responsibility, and the opportunity to implement meaningful operational improvements within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Operations Leadership: Oversee daily department operations, including field personnel, scheduling, dispatch, service coordination, and administrative support.
• Route Optimization: Develop efficient geographic scheduling and routing strategies to minimize travel time, improve route density, and maximize technician productivity.
• Financial Performance: Manage operational budgets, labor utilization, job costs, and controllable profitability. Identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce unnecessary expenses.
• Team Management: Lead, develop, and hold field technicians, inspectors, dispatchers, and support personnel accountable for performance.
• Contract Execution: Ensure recurring inspections, maintenance, and service work are completed on schedule, accurately documented, and processed for billing promptly.
• Process Improvement: Establish scalable operating procedures, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement measurable improvements.
• Technology & Automation: Lead the adoption and optimization of BuildOps and other field-service management technologies, including scheduling automation, reporting, and operational dashboards.
• Customer Service: Maintain high service standards, resolve escalated operational issues, and collaborate with sales leadership to support customer retention.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure operations meet applicable contractual, regulatory, quality, and safety requirements in coordination with qualified technical personnel.

The Operations Manager will work closely with the ITM sales organization, which operates under separate leadership. This position does not include sales management responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of operations management experience in recurring inspection, preventive maintenance, or field-service operations.
• Proven experience managing field technicians, inspectors, or service crews.
• Demonstrated success with route optimization, geographic scheduling, and technician utilization .
• Experience managing departmental budgets, operational costs, and profitability.
• Strong leadership, personnel management, and organizational skills.
• Experience implementing operational improvements with measurable results.
• Proficiency with field-service management software and operational reporting tools.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing 10 or more field employees.
• Background in fire protection, HVAC, electrical service, security systems, facilities maintenance, or similar industries.
• Experience managing recurring service contracts and preventive maintenance programs.
• Experience with BuildOps, ServiceTitan, Salesforce Field Service, or comparable platforms.
• Demonstrated success improving operational margins and scaling field-service operations.

Technical fire protection experience is not required.

Compensation

Base Salary: $115,000–$150,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Performance Bonus: Up to 20% of annual base salary, based on established operational and financial objectives.

Total Compensation Potential: Up to $180,000 annually.
