Bartender

Queen's English is a Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient & James Beard-nominated Hong Kong-style Chinese restaurant. We are a small team looking for an extremely organized bar lead. You will be trained to execute all preparation of batched cocktails, syrups, shrubs. You will be working closely with the General Manager to maintain stock of all alcohol and bar ingredients. Shifts available are a mix of daytime prep and nighttime service. You will be expected to know other positions like hosting, running and serving, but your focus will be bar prep and bartending. Expect 4-5 nights a week working the bar and 2-3 days a week in daytime prep. Cocktails are taken from the QE rolodex and recipes are already created and costed. Your job is to maintain our high standards and keep a clean and organized station at all times. This job will not lead with creativity, this will be a great job for someone who is highly motivated, organized and loves precision instead of experimenting creating new cocktails. You must keep a cool head under pressure and be extremely assertive. Experience with OpenTable reservation system and Toast POS is a plus, but we are willing to train a motivated and positive individual! Must be able to learn the food menu, wine, cocktails, etc and also run food and drinks as we are a small team, and all members are expected to jump in and help. We have an extensive natural wine list that we will train you on, but a basic knowledge and willingness to learn is key. Must be quick moving, organized and be able to thrive under pressure! This position is hourly, plus tips, a higher hourly wage is paid for prep hours. The restaurant is open Tuesdays through Saturdays. Queen's English
