Description Clackamas Community College (CCC) seeks to hire an Associate Dean, Enrollment & Student Services, Academic Foundations and Connections (AFaC). PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Associate Dean of Enrollment and Student Services for Academic Foundations and Connections (AFaC) works in partnership with the Dean and the Associate Dean of Instruction AFaC to implement the vision for an integrated division. This position provides direct oversight of CCC Student Services, which includes Enrollment Services (Admissions, Registration and Records, and Graduation Services), Recruitment and Onboarding, Financial Aid and Scholarships, Student and Academic Support Services (Academic Advising, Career Services, Disability Resource Services, and Veteran’s Center), Student Life and Leadership (Student Government Association, Multicultural Center, and Transportation Services), Title IX for students, the Office of Education Partnerships (High School Connections and Articulation Agreements), and student service-focused grants (STEP, Basic Needs Oregon/Benefits Navigator, Pathways to Opportunity). The Associate Dean of Enrollment and Student Services leads the College’s CARE and Student Conduct teams and serves as a strategic partner on our Threat Assessment team. This position supports the planning, assessment, operations, and policy efforts that promote student success, including shared leadership of CCC’s strategic enrollment management (SEM) planning. This position is accountable to internal and external partners and serves to support the overarching vision, values, mission, and goals of the college.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:

Incumbent’s scope involves a high degree of complexity with frequent, new and varied work situations. They determine their own practices and procedures as well as contribute to the development of new concepts, policies and procedures. Their decisions have major implications on the management and operations of their department and may contribute to important strategy, operational and business decisions affecting the division. Incumbent deals with a variety of problems that require analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are varied, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation using knowledge and skills, general standards and past practices. Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines to determine specific work methods. They carry out work activities independently but have their supervisor available to resolve problems. Incumbent has partial budgetary preparation/compliance accountability, is responsible for oversight and allocation of identified grant budgets and works with unit Directors to ensure that resources are allocated appropriately and that expenses are within identified parameters.
