Cardiovascular Special Procedures Technologist

Position Summary Special Procedure Technologist – Cardiac Cath/IR Lab at Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, AZ. The technologist operates imaging equipment, scrubs, circulates, and monitors during procedures, supports physicians, and provides patient education. Schedule & Location Full‑time 10‑hour shifts (6:30 am - 5:00 pm). Requires night, holiday, and weekend call, must be able to respond within 30 minutes. Location: Banner Ocotillo Medical Center, Chandler, AZ. Core Functions Perform radiographic diagnostic/interventional procedures per provider orders, using independent judgment and established policies. Educate patients and families about procedures and treatment. Produce high‑quality images and prepare documentation for timely interpretation. Demonstrate competence in invasive/interventional procedures, including administration of radiopharmaceuticals and medications. Perform equipment quality control, troubleshoot, and notify personnel to maintain performance. Maintain safety and radiation‑protection standards, and ensure confidentiality of patient information. Optimize workflow, monitor inventory, and maintain uninterrupted service. Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinicians and regulatory agencies. Minimum Qualifications Recent graduate or less than 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, EP, or equivalent diagnostics/interventions. Certificate or diploma from an approved radiologic technology program. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology and other required state licensure. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) where applicable. Basic knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and Cath Lab procedures. Strong communication, human relations, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Additional education or experience related to cardiology or interventional radiology. EEO Statement EEO/Disabled/Veterans.
